Aragonite is a calcium carbonate mineral similar to calcite. It’s structure differs from calcite with an orthorthombic crystal system of acicular crystals, some repeated twinning and pseudo-hexogonal forms and can be columnar or fibrous. Aragonite ranges in color from red to brown, purple, clear, white, light green and baby blue. Associated with the root and sacral chakras, third eye and crown chakras, the zodiac sign of Capricorn and vibrates to the numbers 9, 6, 1, 66 and 3. Aragonite helps to calm anger by centering onesself. It promotes calm acceptance during times of stress or increased responsibility.
