Jeremy Linden

While generally known as a DJ, Jeremy has been an artist since childhood. He started with drawing, usually with pencil and paper. In high school art classrooms were a respite from the day to day drudgery of “regular classes” exposing him to pottery, jewelry and sculpting. Photography and graphic design soon followed and truth be told overshadowed drawing by hand, despite taking several college courses.

He never took any painting classes, so his infrequent acrylic pieces come from experimentation and doing what seems right. Currently he is combining graphic design and photography with painting to make artwork that tickles both his digital design rigidity and analog, humanized brush strokes.

Matt G

MattG is a painter, DJ, and writer based in the Seattle area. He primarily paints on skateboard decks. His preferred tool a palette knife, because it is the one tool where the rules were honest with him. The mark either works or it doesn’t. Each piece is built through pressure, direction, and layer on layer.

An Army veteran, he came back to the canvas the way many veterans come to anything that asks for honesty. He treats each deck as a reckoning with something specific. A belief once held, looked at directly. The texture of the history showing through underneath.

His writing on memory, service, and creative practice appears at matthewgoecks.substack.com. This is the first public showing of the painting series.
