Dangerous Stones, from U to Z

Find out if you have dangerous stones, from U to Z. If you aren’t sure how to handle some stones, this is a good reference for you to figure out which harmful crystals to avoid.

Have you been working with dangerous stones? Check the list below to help you learn which gems are potentially toxic. This is by no means a comprehensive list, but has many of the most common crystals, as well as some of the rare minerals.

Always check to be sure that the stones used in your essence or elixir are non-toxic. If you are unsure, for most stones, essences and elixirs can be prepared using the Indirect Method.

Using the Indirect Gem Elixir method, dangerous stones (or crystals you’re not sure about) are placed inside of a small, sealed glass container that has no water. The sealed jar is then placed in the water. You can also omit the container completely, and put crystals around the outside of the water container, instead. Using the Indirect Method, the stones never make contact with the water, but their energetic vibration is allowed to be transmitted through the conductive glass container into the water. This allows more dangerous stones and toxic minerals to be used for a safe gem essence or crystal elixir. However, there is a huge exception to this rule…

Radioactive stones and crystals should NEVER be used in the preparation of elixirs or essences. Indirect method does not prevent the danger of radioactive minerals. DO NOT use radioactive stones for this, ever! It’s safest to consider that all radioactive stones are toxic crystals when it comes to elixirs.

If you’re experimenting with elixirs, MAKE SURE you check this resource, and do your full research. Putting dangerous stones in your water can lead to sickness or death if not done properly.
