LORE & HISTORY

Albite comes from the Latin albus, meaning white, mirroring this stone’s most common color.

Albite usually forms at low temperatures; it is common in pegmatites, granite, and other igneous rocks, various metamorphic rocks, also marbles.

Albite is a Feldspar mineral and comes in many forms with many varying mineral inclusions.

Not all Moonstone is Albite but all Moonstone contains Albite and Orthoclase; it then follows that this crystal is associated with the moon and its deities.
