CATACLOSITE IMPACT STONE

(Roger Kamm Meteor impact site, Namib Desert, Namibia)

A brecciated quartz composite metamorphic stone, found in the crater of an ancient meteor impact in Namibia. The stones in the impact site were crushed, smashed, melted, shattered and broken by the energy of the impact, and when cooled, formed this unique stone.
