These crystals stand out for their unique growth form. The Cholla is a variety of cactus, pronounced Choy-Yah. These quartz crystals look like cacti growing out of their matrices. Though they are sometimes white, most are clear to light purple. They display secondary growth forms on the clear prismatic violet Veracruz Amethyst. These forms are typically small single or double terminated, macromosaic structured amethyst crystals on top of druzy. They are clustered to the tips of the host crystal, giving the appearance of the Cholla cactus.

Associated with the 3rd eye & crown chakra, the zodiac sign of Aquarius & Pisces, vibrates to the number 6.
