ARTIST BIO:
Showcase Artist #1:
SARAH BOLDEN
Embellish the Truth
Sarah is a local fiber artist/fashion upcycler that specializes in upcycled embellished clothing and accessories. Giving vintage and used clothing a new life, by re-imagining and repurposing, dismembering and remembering, then adding unique embellishments.
Sarah owns a laundry and repair facility, with over 10 years of experience working as a commercial seamstress, repairing heavy duty/outdoor gear and garments. The concepts of repurposing and sustainability are woven into her daily life.
Creating pieces that provoke something in both the one who wears it, as well as those who see it. Finding inspiration in the city around us and the local music and dance community.
During the summer, you will find Sarah sewing at outdoor Music and Arts Festivals on a solar powered 1949 sewing machine. Not only does she create a myriad of ready to wear pieces, but she provides everything needed for people to embellish their favorite pieces of clothing on the spot, then she sews it together. Helping others speak their own truths through their clothing. These pieces truly are one of a kind wearable art.
“Clothing is a medium of art that is functional yet also engages people in an unapologetically effortless way – as we move through our day, those we encounter interact with these pieces. Through these pieces, we speak our own truths.”

Showcase Artist #2:
DON FARRELL
The Art of Don Farrell
Artist Statement
My art assigns symbols to The Unknowable, reaching through the ephemeral illusion we have come to know as reality, to an underlying, timeless, spiritual narrative. In this Universal Mythology, fulfillment reflects from mystery, encouraging us to find, within ourselves, a unique understanding beyond the grasp of intellect – a feeling of connection. Through my work, I aim to inspire you not only to Think, but more importantly, to Feel, to Love.
The fire of the gods, burning bright – its warmth emanates from the parted palms of the open-hearted. With promethean pleasure, I open the door for you to see your own Divinity.
Every Man and Woman is a Star; Do what thou wilt.
Biographical Statement
Don Farrell was born in New Jersey, USA, in 1970. He began painting in London, UK, around the age of twenty, and, soon after, moved to Seattle, USA, where he still resides today. This geographic location, surrounded by temperate rainforest and nestled between two glacial mountain ranges, has imbued his art with the nature-based spirituality seen in many of his works. His art is further informed by many years of extensive study, in numerous locations throughout the world, which have brought to his thematic palette a mélange of influences, including the Mayan culture of Central America, the medieval, Islamic, geometric tradition, 15th century imaginative artists such as Hieronymus Bosch, 20th Century surrealists such as M.C. Escher and Salvador Dali, as well as contemporary visionary artists like Patrick Woodroffe. The art of Don Farrell has been exhibited in Seattle, Los Angeles and New York, and extensively in galleries and museums outside the USA, including in Austria, Spain, France, Germany, Mexico, Colombia, Canada and the UK.

Debbie
DebbitCardArt
The world is cruel, therefore I won’t be. Hi, I’m Debbie! A.K.A. debbit.card. I’m a 23-year-old born in Washington- raised and grew up in Federal Way and Seattle. I’ve lived in the same house my whole life with no plans of moving anywhere else! I’ve been drawing since before I could read so I’m a self-taught artist but took a couple of illustrative courses during college.
I am very adamant and determined to produce my merchandise with my own two hands as much as possible, so everything I’ve sold and am selling now has been designed, rendered, printed, cut, and produced myself in my parent’s basement. I love trying to figure out what kinds of things I can make myself.
I’m going to school for accounting and also work full-time as a barista here in downtown Seattle, so maybe you might catch me at my coffee shop sometime!
My first merchandise projects were stickers and I started a couple of years ago. Most of my work is digital, but I also enjoy traditional graphite, charcoal, and inkwashing.
I take commissions sometimes, please feel free to ask! You can contact me via DMs on Instagram @debbit.card or email me at debbitcardart@gmail.com
