Discounts that Make a Difference for Equity and Justice
To Honor & Celebrate Pride, Juneteenth, and YOU, we’ve launched a series of PERMANENT Equity Discounts that make a difference. I hope that even in some small way, my crystal shop will make the world a little more fair. We’re a small, woman-owned, local business that STILL feels that it’s important to continue to work toward creating Equity and Justice. We’re doing it by offering Discounts that make a difference to you, our customer.
I’ve created these discounts to help you, inspire you, bring you joy, and save you a little money every time you shop with us.
Available Equity Discounts:
- 5% OFF for People of Color
- 5% OFF for LGBTQ+ Folx
- 5% OFF for Veterans, Teachers, Seniors, & People with Disabilities
- 10% OFF for Indigenous People
Just let us know at the register which Discount to apply for you!*
These Equity Discounts are not available just during Pride, Juneteenth, or particular months… These are lifetime benefits for you at our shop – and you are welcome to tell your friends about these great discounts, as well.
I look forward to sharing new Crystals, Sound Healing Tools, Drinks, Snacks, and meaningful conversations with you at Crystal Lounge very soon.
With Love, Respect, and Hope,
Michelle Ferris
P.S. For those for whom the Equity Discounts do not apply – don’t despair! Just Sign Up for our Sparkle Program to get Texts & Emails from us that include coupons, discounts, a birthday gift, and invites to exclusive events at Crystal Lounge.
*Equity Discounts are not stackable, but may be combined with other in-store promotions. Must be a Sparkle Member (our free Loyalty & Rewards program) for discount. Veterans & Seniors must show ID to apply discount.
Why Does Equality, Equity, and Justice Matter?
The institutional systems we exist in have strong biases, prejudices, racism, classism, and all the other -ism’s heavily built into it. Even small acts against a system that is unjust make a difference over time.
Equity: Equity is not only dividing resources fairly and equally, but also factoring in differences amongst people. Differences such as race and socioeconomic status that would require different support to ensure the same opportunity of success.
Equality: Equality is dividing resources equally but does not factor differences in need and ability.
Justice: Justice is long-term equity. It looks to create equity in systems as well as individuals.
