CRADLE OF HUMANKIND

A gray agate found at the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site in South Africa. This site is a 100sq mile location dominated by limestone caves. In these caves, archaeologists have found a large number of humanoid fossils. The gray agates are found during archaeological digs within the caves, and then are sold to lapidaries to tumble and polish.
