FLOWER AGATE

A relatively new find from 2018 out of Madagascar, Flower Agate is only found in massive form, and is carved into different shapes. It is a translucent pale pinky white to peach, purple, blue or dark gray chalcedony with opaque “flower” like inclusions in white, pink, orange, yellow, red and light green. The entire stone is a cryptocrystalline quartz & a member of the chalcedony family, like all agates. Flower agate is sometimes found with druzy spaces in gaps & botryoidal chalcedony growth forms. The flowers appear as sprays throughout the stone. It is a very complex patterned agate and will rival Crazy Lace for the most popular agate variety.
