LADY ANNABELLA FLUORITE TWINS

(Lady Annabella Mine, Weardale, County Durham, England, UK)

The Lady Annabella Mine is owned by UK Mining Ventures. It is located in Weardale, England, close to the Rogerley Mine, owned by the same company. This mine is a surface mining exploration venture that was started in 2020, though the area was known as a collectors area since the 1960’s. This mine has different pockets of specimens in yellow, pinkish red and green/blue. The fluorite twins are green cubes that are intergrown and are without matrix. They fluoresce a bright blue in UV light and some also fluoresce blue in daylight! They are a new find out of a small mine, and are highly sought after by collectors.
