PRUSKITE
POTASSIUM FERRICYANIDE & FERROCYANIDE

(Poland)

Pruskite is a trade name for the combination of 2 minerals into a crystal on matrix. The red crystal is Potassium Ferricyanide (containing trivalent iron) and the yellow matrix is Potassium Hexacyanoferrate (containing divalent iron). It is water soluble, so it must be kept dry or it will dissolve. Though its components might sound a bit scary, it has a low toxicity, though it should not be ingested. Historically Pruskite was used in film development and in Europe it is used as a road salt additive.
